It’s always a delight taking photos of people close to my heart. I’ve been taking photos of the Geli family since mommy Jade was pregnant with her first child, Lexi (who is my godchild). We also took maternity shots before Jade and Justin’s son, Lucas, was born. Now, Lexi is about to start first grade and Lucas just turned 3 years old! Time surely flies, but I’m glad that I’m able to document how the Geli family grew.
The day after I posted Lexi’s latest portrait on Facebook, this showed up on my feed:
It was Jade’s first maternity photo, taken way back in 2010. I shot this together with the Imagine Nation team. Apparently, her maternity session was scheduled around the same time six years ago. Thank you, Facebook, for the reminder. Hehe. I’ve posted the complete set of photos here.
Our last portrait session was done on mother’s day and a few days before Lucas’s third birthday. Props to mommy Jade for the pretty outfits and for getting the kids to behave and smile in front of the camera. They seemed to really enjoy the outdoors. And I was able to capture some sweet sibling shots too. Next time, we’ll have daddy Justin join us (on father’s day, maybe?)
Of course, BIG thanks to Something Pretty Manila for the beautiful styling, as always. I love how the props complemented the background and the outfits.
